Description:

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer specializing in Level 2 Mobile functional testing to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and executing test cases to ensure the robust validation of application functionalities. This role involves extensive automation of functional tests on mobile application interfaces, ensuring the quality of the final product and its documentation, as well as identifying and rectifying defects.

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Project Duration: At least until December 2024, with potential for renewal.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create test cases to validate application functionalities.
• Automate functional tests on mobile application interfaces using Selenium WebDriver, preferably with Appium.
• Execute automated test scripts and review results for accuracy.
• Ensure the quality of the final product and its documentation during testing phases.
• Identify new defects in the application and follow up on open defects, ensuring their resolution.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities effectively.
• Participate in extraordinary testing activities as required.

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, preferably in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Practical experience automating tests with Selenium WebDriver, preferably for mobile applications using Appium, or for Web UI applications.
• Applied knowledge of test case design techniques and requirements analysis.
• Theoretical and practical understanding of testing fundamentals and methodologies.English proficiency: B2 level, Conversational.
• Residency in Mexico.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience developing tests with Behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks, preferably with Behave Python.
• Understanding of API/RESTful services and experience testing them with tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or web browsers.
• Experience integrating tests into validation pipelines using CloudBees, Jenkins, or other CI/CD systems.
• Proficiency with code version control tools, such as Git.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
