Data Solutions Architect

Role Overiew

This role will work with a team of Data Scientists in the East Coast of USA, crafting and maintaining custom data architectures and systems to serve the organization's finances as well as support its analytics, data, and systems teams.

Main functions

• Write, test, and deliver high quality data engineering and data architecture solutions (primarily in SQL and Python)
• Work directly with the business finance teams to capture requirements and deliver innovative solutions
• Identify and prioritize technical risks, impediments and dependencies on the product backlog
• Integrate enterprise grade data products, services and analytics
• Design data pipelines
• Define, design and document data models
• Maintain and improve existing data solutions
• Share and align architectural vision
• Mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems or other relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience with data architecture development using modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or AWS. in an Agile environment
• Hands on experience with microservices and event driven architecture
• Experience interacting with software endpoints using HTTP, REST, SOAP, or similar
• Knowledge in Cloud and container architecture and services
• Front-end and/or data visualization experience is a plus
• Advanced knowledge in SQL & Phyton
• English proficiency is a must
• Familiarity with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL) and AWS
• Demonstrated understanding of compute, network and storage infrastructure components
