Direct Sourcing Specialist

Experience & Qualification

•      ​ 5+ years of procurement experience within Direct categories (e.g., Biochemical, Packaging or Chemicals)

•      Proven working experience as a buyer, senior buyer, purchasing specialist agent, or officer.

•      Experience in mid to large multinational companies, with strong category/business engagement experience

•      Hands-on manufacturing and/or supply chain experience is preferred.

•      Experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.

•      High level of English language competency (verbal and written)

Key Responsibilities

•         Lead strategic and tactical sourcing activities.

•         Must negotiate contracts and close deals with better commercial terms for assigned spend.

•         Research potential new vendors and develop and drive RFXs.

•         Partner with customers to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFXs and contracts as appropriate

•         Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.

•         Support projects assigned for various sourcing activities

•         Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiency
