Marketing Assistant (Remote)

OVERVIEW

A marketing and research assistant to help grow an MBA Admissions Consultancy. The position will primarily focus on marketing (including overseeing social media), but will also include research, idea generation, and admin tasks. The individual will be expected to lead social media development and execution with limited oversight.

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business with a focus on marketing.

● Strong understanding of social media: strategy, content development, and execution

● Willingness to flex as required

● Basic understanding of using AI (ChatGPT)

● English fluency (writing and speaking) 100% BILINGUAL

Additional Desired Qualifications

● Strong interest in business and business education

● Understanding of the strategic use of AI

● Light video editing skills

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is interested in learning on the job and contributing ideas. There will be significant room for growth so we are looking for someone who is interested in learning about the business in order to take on an increasing degree of responsibility.

OBJECTIVES

● Marketing

○ Develop ideas to increase lead generation

○ Recommend marketing strategies and tactics

○ Oversee social media

● Research / Insights

○ Conduct competitive research and analysis

○ Contribute ideas related to product, consumer, etc. based on landscape

● Ad-Hoc

○ Conduct outreach to stakeholders

○ Participate in meetings as needed and summarize content

○ Perform admin tasks as required

Objectives might change with business growth

TASKS

Social media:

● Co-create content strategy

● Draft and schedule consistent posts on LinkedIn, IG, TikTok, YouTube

● Source ideas for content

● Implement best practices to grow following

● Identify content distribution channels and affiliates

● Nice to have: light video editing skills (CapCut or other)

Content:

● Edit raw text and content (interview transcripts)

● Draft blog posts in coordination with content strategy

● Create and distribute newsletter

● Nice to have: conduct light keyword research for industry terms

Outreach:

● Identify candidates for expert network

● Assist with building expert network through cold outreach

● Identify student, alumni, and other organizations for outreach:

○ College business clubs

○ Young alumni clubs

○ Young professional associations

Research:

● Identify best in class content, websites, and messaging

● Conduct competitor research and analysis including “secret shopping”

● Find potential team members on Leland and other platforms

● Find potential career experts among students and young alumni

Admin:

● Help with admin tasks as needed
