Purpose of the Job: 

The General Manager (GM), uAssist Ecuador oversees the day-to-day operations for the uAssist treatment planning service of uLab Systems. Reporting to the Chief Automation and Manufacturing Office, the GM is responsible for all aspects of the operation in Ecuador, including but not limited to all HR related activities, liaising with Operations, Client Services and other uLab teams in the U.S. as needed, and monitoring/ensuring uAssist metrics are achieved.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• In cooperation with uLab headquarters HR team, manage all HR activities including talent acquisition, managing staff, building and maintaining culture in alignment with the uLab global culture, and ensuring compliance with all local labor regulations and reporting requirements.
• Schedule and balance workload in order to meet uAssist quality and service metrics
• Manage all facility, equipment and IT requirements
• Monitor budget and expenses
• Coordinate team activities with the Operations, Clinical Education and other teams as needed. Ensure an environment of cross-functional teamwork and collaboration between uAssist and U.S. staff.
• Monitor outputs and metrics and work with other leaders to suggest/implement improvements
• Address and resolve team and customer conflicts
• Maintain a professional workspace and workflow
• Measure, analyze, and share performance quality, trending issues, and any other relevant data on a regular basis

Education / Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or in Industrial Engineering or closely related field required
• MBA is preferred

Skills / Experience:

•  Advanced English, written and verbal (Spanish/English bilingual)
• Minimum 10 years leading operations in professional consulting, healthcare service or other relevant industries. Experience in healthcare services strongly desired.
• Must have experience working directly with U.S. based companies and U.S. customers
• Ability to mentor and lead a team to achieve defined outcomes
• Analytical skills to define and track metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Training, management, and systems skills to ensure a high-level of uniform performance across teams
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Experience creating and monitoring budgets
